Daycare
-
When you sign up for daycare, your dog will enjoy a variety of engaging activities throughout the day, moving from session to session to keep things exciting and stimulating. The schedule includes a mix of group play, relaxation, and enriching activities, all carefully rotated to provide a balanced experience.
-
Here’s a breakdown of the types of sessions your dog will experience:
-
Group Play & Downtime
-
- Group Play: Dogs who enjoy socializing with others will participate in supervised group play sessions.
-
- Downtime: Between play sessions, dogs will have relaxation periods where they can unwind and recharge.
-
Other Enrichment Sessions:
-
Beyond group play and downtime, your dog will rotate through a variety of other activities:
-
- Scent Work: Your dog will learn to detect and alert to specific scents. Using food rewards and positive reinforcement, we'll pair scents with rewards to help your dog imprint on the scent. This is a gradual process, and you'll receive updates on your dog’s progress.
-
- Agility: Dogs will work on building their confidence and getting exercise through agility training, which includes learning jumps of different heights, tunnels, wobble boards, and other fun challenges.
-
- Food Enrichment: Unless your dog has allergies or dietary restrictions, they will enjoy dog-safe peanut butter or treats served on lick mats, Kongs, or puzzle feeders. This encourages mental stimulation while rewarding your dog with tasty treats.
-
- Trick Training: Using positive reinforcement, we’ll teach your dog a variety of fun tricks. You'll receive updates, including progress photos and videos, so you can see how your dog is doing. If you have any specific tricks you'd like your dog to learn, just let us know!
-
- Obedience Training: In this session, we focus on teaching obedience commands such as sit, stay, and come, using consistent, positive methods. We train at a pace that suits your dog’s needs, ensuring they enjoy the process while making steady progress.
-
- Confidence Building: To help your dog build confidence, we introduce them to new environments and experiences. Activities like jumping over hula hoops, navigating tunnels, or interacting with moving objects help them overcome fears and become more comfortable in different situations.
-
- Solo Play: For dogs who prefer individual play or for those whose play style doesn’t fit with group play, we offer solo play sessions. This could include cuddles, playing with toys like frisbees or balls, or one-on-one interaction with our staff.
-
Each day is designed to offer variety and enrichment, ensuring your dog has a fulfilling and enjoyable experience. We tailor activities to your dog's needs and preferences, and you’ll receive regular updates so you can see all the fun your dog is having!
